SKY-BLUE SERIES
General Overview
Sky Blue Glow in the Dark Pigment is medium bright glow in the
dark pigment currently being readily manufactured.
It can be used in a variety of organic mediums including plastic,
rubber, paint, fiber, glass, resin, wax, and gel to produce special
performance products.
Brightness and Duration
There are many factors which do effects on the brightness of glow
in the dark pigment, such as the releasement of PIGMENT s energy,
the brightness of recharging light source, the recharging time, the
recharging method, the type of testing instruments, the conditions
of testing, etc. As a result, the tested result in mcd/m2 is just a
reference for the users, the performance of PIGMENT used in
finished products is the only standard to test the PIGMENT.
There is no best pigment in the world for selection, there is only
the most suitable pigment for some specified application. We are
ready to provide the users the most suitable item for the
applications. Technically speaking, the PIGMENT is emitting light
for days, while our humans eyes can only sense the light with
brightness more than 0.3mcd/m2 in a pure dark environment, the
PIGMENT is sensible for more than 22hours at one meter distance in
a dark room after being fully charged.

Medium Compatibility
The PIGMENTs are soluble in water and decompose in acid.
This means that they will loose some brightness when mixed into
water-based mediums. Acids will completely destroy their
glow.
As a result, the PIGMENTs are recommended to apply with organic
medium, such as plastic, rubber, oil, resin, fiber, wax, etc. to
produce the finished products. They can also be mixed
into thermoplastic powder, glass and even ceramic. As
applying into the molten medium, the temperature shall be
controlled below a certain level to prevent the PIGMENTs being
oxidized. If being used in water-based mediums such as
paint & ink and concrete for some special
applications, they will continue to loose a small amount of
brightness over time until the water fully evaporates. So the quick
evaporated type mediums are strongly recommended.
Other color pigments in the medium will sometimes shield the glow
pigments preventing them from charging as fast or glowing as
bright. Therefore, we suggest clear and transparent mediums
when possible.
The Ultra Violet light is a main charging source for the PIGMENTs.
So ultraviolet filters in mediums may block the ability for glow
pigments to charge. This can both increase charge time or
lower brightness depending on the quantity and quality of the
ultraviolet filters.
Color and Appearance
Sky Blue Glow in the dark pigments appears as yellowish
crystal powder and glow a sky-blue color. The pigments are not
transparent.
Color of Finished Products
The finished products will appear a little variety in color with
dosage of Yellow-green Glow in the dark pigments: The more
dosage(esp. more than 10%), the more yellow. The less dosage(esp.
less than 5%), the more yellow-white.
